Lima is a demonstrated writer and cross-cultural communicator with formal training in historical research.

In undergraduate, she was awarded the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship, which seeks to support and increase the number of underrepresented groups pursuing doctoral degrees in the humanities.

Beginning her career as a ghostwriter for VC’s seeking to gain traction in Africa, Lima is fluent in the socio-cultural features which define the Francophone regions of the continent.

Utilizing her training as a historian, she provided in-depth analysis on subjects ranging from fintech investment to gender-inclusive banking models.

Subsequently, this led her to the international philanthropic space where she assisted in the design and implementation of multiple convenings on higher education in countries across West Africa including Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and Sierra Leone.

To date, her career trajectory spans various sectors, including philanthropy, higher education and non-profit institutions (i.e. museums). Her research interests include: 18th-19th century Francophone [North] West Africa; foodways; and gender.

Lima is a recipient of the Charina Fund, Columbia Alumni, Marian Wright Edelman and Fulbright scholarships. She is available for all forms of writing and editing including web/email copy, ghostwriting, copyediting and proofreading.
