our 24-hour news cycle is consistently being updated, inundated with the worst. from war crimes abroad to the ending of essential government programs in the U.S.; one can only imagine the news we aren’t receiving.
one of the reasons i opted out of joining the news industry, and found myself in philanthropy, is i wanted to be an active participant in change; not just an observer diagnosing the problem.
the last time i published to the site i was in contemplation of releasing some of my most personal works: my poetry. ultimately, i decided against and took an unannounced hiatus to focus on the direction in which i wanted to take Bojepsÿ.
i wasn’t looking to turn the site into a diary of sorts, or a digital memoir. my focus was, and still is, to curate content that is light-hearted, informative, and weaves together the principal influences of my life: food, beauty, and mental health.
for someone always in pursuit of novelty, the hiatus was unforgiving, but necessary. i needed to process this particular moment of my saturn return by making sense of where i was. there was so much i thought i knew about life, and, yet, i was still learning. i still am.
a few years back, i took the Myers-Briggs test and it identified me as an INFP, a keenly introspective idealist who is wedded to the idea of things.
i’m not a blind optimist, but my purview naturally slants towards seeing a glass that is half full. i believe that, in life, the essence of treating things is, like nature, to see it develop and live in bloom. i feel that way about myself, my relationships, and with Bojepsÿ.
if you haven’t taken the Myers-Briggs test, i highly recommend taking the assessment as it provides you with insight on who you are as a person and where you’d best fit career-wise.
anyways, you can read and learn more about the Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI) here:
